I've been researching my family history for 8 years now and it's about time I shared some of my findings.
My father's family come mostly from the North East of England (surnames Hudson, Lamb, Kerss, Pattison, Todner). Mum's father's family come from Birmingham, England (Darby, Pugh, Read) and Mum's mother's from mid-Wales (Pugh, Hughes, Jones).

On This Day ... 15 April
1638 John Sewell married his first wife Alis Jefferson at St Hilda's Church, Hartlepool, Co Durham, England. John was my 9x great-grandfather.
1798 James Yeal was born in Hartlepool. He was the son of Robert Yeal and Dinah Hood.
1914 Charles Alexander Grant married Ella Mae Evans at 19 Edgewood Crescent, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
