I've been researching my family history for 8 years now and it's about time I shared some of my findings.
My father's family come mostly from the North East of England (surnames Hudson, Lamb, Kerss, Pattison, Todner). Mum's father's family come from Birmingham, England (Darby, Pugh, Read) and Mum's mother's from mid-Wales (Pugh, Hughes, Jones).

On This Day ... 28 July
1752 John Powell married Mary Lloyd at St Cynllo's Church, Nantmel, Radnorshire, Wales. They were my 5 x great-grandparents.
1799 Richard Hunter was born in Hartlepool, Co Durham, England. He was the son of Thomas Hunter and Eleanor Horsley.
1874 Frederick Dawson married Catherine Edith Hudson at St Mary's Church, Easington, Co Durham, England.
