Dear RAH (Rebecca): I would like to get in contact with you about John William Hudson in your family tree. I am researching the Battle of Stanley. I live in Stanley, Hong Kong. Kia ora Rah from New Zealand! I am trying to track down a link between the Hudsons of Hartlepool and local Pattisons - my Gran was born Dorothy Jane Pattison in 1914 but was raised largely by George and Charlotte Hudson as I understand it. Just wondered if you might know of some links between the families? Would be lovely to get in touch - louwarrennz@yahoo.co.nz Many thanks! Lou Warren
ReplyDeleteHello Rebecca, hope you're well! A bit strange commenting on a blog that hasn't been updated in 10 years haha. I recently came across this video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujGnc94qrjo featuring a certain Peter Hudson who, from what I've read on your blog, is probably your dad.
ReplyDeleteI was curious as to what became of the teenagers in the video and looked them all up. Peter's search led me to your blog. If you haven't seen the video before I think you'd find it super interesting! If it's alright, I'd like to know what Peter got up to after school. Did he get into politics? Law?
Hi Umm, thanks so much for the Youtube link, I hadn't seen it. I have some photos of his trip to America, but had no idea there was video. It was great to watch and I'm going to dive into the others to see what else is there.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Peter is my Dad. After National Service and University, he went into teaching and then from there into education administration. He died in 2005
