1822     Edward Darby was born at Meriden St, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Edward Darby and Ann Hobday.

1848     John Solomon Gregory married Harriet Bateman at St Helen's Church, Darleydale, Derbyshire, England. Harriet was my 4 x g grandmother.

1905     William Henry Darby was born at 87 Northwood St, Birmingham. He was the son of William Henry Darby and Jessie Pugh.

1917     Lance Corporal Sidney Herbert Liddle was killed in action in northern France, serving in the Royal Fusiliers. He was 25 years old.
