On This Day ... 14 March

1795  Joseph Hood was born in Hartlepool, Co Durham, England. He was the son of Thomas Hood and Mary Robson.

1799     John Wren was born in Simonburn, Northumberland, England.  He was the son of William Wren and Ann Sisterson.

1819     Richard Hudson married Maria Ann Butterfint in St Dunstan's Church, Stepney, London. The couple subsequently set up home in Richard's home town of Sunderland, Co Durham.
